Important dates in our history

1925: Robert Jeulin, a hardware dealer in the Latin Quarter of Paris, starts selling chemicals to teachers.

1933: Robert Jeulin expands his business with two mail order catalogues: one for primary education and one for secondary education.

1938: The Jeulin company expands its offer by opening a Natural Sciences department.

1939: Death of Robert Jeulin.

1942: His sons, Pierre and Jacques Jeulin, and two friends create a limited liability company to take over the business.

1948: 'Jeulin SARL' decides to acquire the machinery required to blow glass, and opens its Laboratory business.

1952: When the 'Loi Barenger' law is introduced (credits allocated to the heads of educational institutions for pupils), Jeulin SARL is able to increase its workforce to 8 employees.

1953: Business at the company is booming, and the number of employees grows to 20.

1957: 'Jeulin SARL' changes its name to 'Etablissements Jeulin SA'.

1963: When 'Etablissements Jeulin SA' outgrows its Paris premises, the company moves to the suburb of Courbevoie.

1970: With the construction of the 'La Défense' business district, 'Etablissements Jeulin SA' moves to Evreux.

1972: The company creates its first electronic goods.

1981: Birth of the Computer Assisted Experimentation concept. Jeulin creates ESAO® and the "Tortoise" (an educational discovery robot).

1986: 'Etablissements Jeulin SA' becomes part of the Dynaction group.

1992: The Mediascience group is created, with Jeulin SA as its main subsidiary.

2005: After an initial LBO in 2001, Jeulin SA's main shareholder becomes Edmond de Rothschild Capital Partners.

2008: Jeulin SA has nearly 200 employees in Evreux and offers a wide range of didactic hardware and solutions for Physics, Chemistry, Life and Earth Sciences and Technology. The company now uses 3 communication channels to sell its products in Metropolitan France, French overseas departments and territories and internationally: its catalogues, the internet and sales teams on the ground.
